Versatile Cream Sauce
The star of this dish is the tangy cream sauce. My favourite pairing with the sauce is veal chops, but you can also substitute the veal with chicken thighs or pork chops. This recipe is truly versatile. Just make sure to cook the chicken and pork throughly, and you may need to adjust the cooking time.
Keto and Gluten-Free Veal Chops Recipe
The cream sauce is keto and gluten-free. The sauce is thickened with sour cream instead of flour. For a low-carb meal, try pairing the veal chops with saffron cauliflower rice risotto.

Dear Yang: My daughter and I made this recipe and found it wonderful! We had never made veal before and were intimidated. We went to find a cream recipe without flour-diabetic friendly, and the sour cream sauce sounded fantastic!! We wanted to include mushrooms, and so added garlic, onions and mushrooms. We used red wine instead of white, which worked great. We also added a little more butter because of the extras. It was phenomenal– flavorful, tender, and filled the house with a wonderful aroma. My mother loved it too, and she is very picky. It did not raise her blood glucose level even 1 point, which was a miracle, as she had a very small piece of whole grain bread with it. We had our meal with a side of asparagus cooked in olive oil/butter mix, garlic and lemon juice to complement the flavor of the veal sauce. That is a great pairing. That was an incredibly easy and quick recipe, we will have other cuts of meat with this same sauce. Thank you so much for your insightful and healthy minded blog and recipe.
That’s so great to hear, Krystina! Thank you so much for sharing your version – I think the addition of garlic, onion and mushroom is fantastic!
